These Fake News Conferences are a Hit
I mentioned the FEMA Fake News Conference awhile back, but apparently they weren’t the first to do it. An Immigration and Customs Enforcement official got to lay wood on a slow pitch from one of his own. Here’s what I found the most interesting piece of the article, in regards to the ICE woman that asked the question. “San Antonio reporters knew she was a public affairs official at the time.” I wasn’t there, and not surprisingly the article doesn’t really give a shit about delving into it because context takes up advertising space, but I’m thinking a natural follow-up question that wasn’t asked would be, “So do you normally take questions from ICE people posing as reporters?“
