The Word Ironic Scares Me, and This is Ironic
I once listened to a Harvard English Professor rip Alanis Morissette a new asshole because her song “Ironic” was not ironic in the least. Since listening to the egghead I have had a hard time saying anything’s ironic, or even letting the words slip from my lips, because I don’t know what the hell it means, if I ever did. Suppose I suffer from semantic PTSD thanks to that blue blood Harvard cock. He was smart though, kinda funny too.
But at the risk of being wrong, and cause I think most people don’t know what the word means either, so the probability of someone calling me out is low, I find it ironic, and fitting, that John McCain has hired a Hollywood agent to help him bag celebrities for his convention.
