Taking Another Look at the Book My Beautiful Mommy

So: Newsweek manufactured this alarming story out of medium-thin air. It’s one more thing to think about when the conventional media make snotty remarks about the journalistic standards of weblogs.

Read the full post if you’d like. From where I sit, I was never outraged at the idea of the book. ((On a sidenote, whipping up “outrage” is veering perilously close to being an outright outrage. I’m staring to get a little annoyed at all the things folks in the know tell me I should be ouraged at. I’m not an angry guy folks. Stop trying to make me one.)) I saw it more along the lines of - “What ass hat thought this was a good idea?” You know, it works on a satirical level and that’s about it. Anyway, I linked to the story yesterday so thought I should broaden the context some.
