Much Love to You Dear Reader

So I should be back to posting more regularly now. Robert Bly was amazing, and the National Writing Month, well, we won’t talk about that, but the posting should resume again, and I’d like to thank you for sticking with me during the down time. I looked at some of my stats today and it seems I was not abandoned in droves. So kind of you for sticking around. (( I can almost hear people saying two things at this point (01) who the hell is this guy and why is he in my RSS reader, and (02) I didn’t realize he stopped posting for two weeks)). You have my love and appreciation.

I have always looked at NaNoWriMo as a strange concept. On one hand, I can see that it’s a way to motivate people to write, because of the whole ‘everyone else is doing it’ thing. On the other hand, the novels that it does produce are generally of a low standard. I know editing can fix things, but if you’re writing to a schedule/wordcount, unless you are a student, or unemployed and have the entirety of each day to ponder through plot devices, you’re not going to be doing your best work. I guess encouragement can be taken by the sheer volume of words that are supposed to be produced, but I’ve always been quality over quantity. But hey, I guess anything that gets people writing is a positive.

    Anyway, welcome back.

It’s great to have you back again. :) Don’t worry, I know there are people reading your posts, it doesn’t have to be like Perez Hilton — 150c/p, you know. :)
