Bruce Sacerdote and Owen Zidar of Dartmouth constructed and analyzed a database of words used by the Democratic and Republican candidates and presented their findings in two areas; the most optimistic/negative and a comparative look at past political greats, like Reagan, JFK, and MLK Jr. Among the findings, Obama and Hillary are the least negative, Obama and Huckabee’s words are most akin to Martin Luther King Jr., and Hillary sounds most like a recording of fingernails on a blackboard.

If Huckabee sounds like MLK, I’ll vote for him. Even if he doesn’t, I’ll still vote for him. Most conservative, presidential pick in the bunch. Romney? Ewwhhhgw. No thanks. I don’t trust him. McCain: nice but too old. We need a two term president. Huckabee - please win this thing so we can have a civil eight years on the world stage.

Hey Lynne. I like Huckabee, being the more liberal sort I wouldn’t vote for him, but I do like him, or he doesn’t repeal me the way some conservatives do. Has something to do with his delivery and style. He doesn’t make me feel like I’m the reason everything sucks the way some conservatives do. Thanks for dropping by the site.
