Drill, Drill, Drill
Sometimes a good graphic can put the issue into perspective:

I’m not even sure what the argument is here to be honest so maybe someone can explain it to me. Our dependancy on oil, regardless of where it comes from, is the problem, but lets go find more sources of it? Suppose this might make complete sense to a moron or an oil executive but I’m having a hard time seeing the logic of the proposition.
Guys, I just sent you email. Please check!
I would assume the proper response would be, lets drill for that little more while we get more viable alternatives going, or propaganda our citizens to STOP driving so dang much.
I guess this is the part where I admit that I walk 4 miles to work daily, and live in Seattle, so I battle the elements…mainly rain a lot.
I don’t see many crowded buses, or walkers, bike riders, or even scooters, so maybe it’s not necessarily the fault of the leaders but rather the idiot civilians that will NOT get out of their cars, yet want lower gas prices.
The offshore drilling idea sounds more like differential politics mentality—because although it’s a darn stupid idea, actually agreeing on a key issue apparently is politically taboo.
Jorge - Yeah, be nice if folks used more public transport - bikes- hoof it. Though according to some stats I have seen Americans are driving less now. Guess I see it like an addiction and the heroine addict saying, “Dude, just let me have a little bit more and then I’ll stop.”
Simon -Kinda you say potato so I say tomato. Kinda how it goes I suppose.
